Displacement Diffusion Design

It is normal for us to supply air from low velocity Displacement Ventilation systems mounted at high level. It is not necessary for all displacement ventilation systems to be supplied from low level.

We would recommend installing Textile Diffusers at high level and allowing sufficient air changes to create an even temperature gradient within the occupied zone (In production areas this is usually in excess of 8 air changes - but this is load dependent). So long as the supply air has an element of cooling the air will fall gently under it’s own density to fill the occupied zone.

We are here to help to design these systems.  High level displacement diffusers save an awful lot of time, installation cost and low level damage – not mention improved aesthetics -

Designers at High Care Air have created and supplied Displacement ventilations systems for the following end users…..Baxters soups, Debenhams, Geest, Bernard Matthews, Dr Oetker, Various Cleanroom facilities & Laboratories.

Displacement Diffusers in a Production Area

Displacement Design Suggestions....
1) Keep air volumes high (more than 6 air changes)
2) Keep temperature difference low
3) Install over pedestrian areas if available
